Work Study Position: Community Curator

What we need:

  • Weekly Meeting and ongoing communication with the Spirit Seed program director

  • Outreach to independent and spirituality bookstores apothecaries (especially BIPOC and Women-owned) to carry the In Our Element book and/or the Elementals flower essences

  • Maintain connections with current retailers

  • Coordinate speaking and teaching opportunities (virtual and live) with community wellness organizations

  • Research and Outreach to special interest podcasts

  • Outreach to acupuncture schools for teaching and presentation opportunities

  • Identify key conferences and submit presentation proposals

  • Coordinate with social media team to promote events and community gatherings

  • Respond to time sensitive HARO reporter inquiries

  • Is detail-oriented and extraordinarily organized

  • Has a love for building community, meeting new people, and healing justice work

  • Enjoys creating webs of interconnections between organizations and people

  • Is an excellent communicator in both speaking and writing

  • Has a Sankofa-like propensity for research and dreaming forward  

Our exchange:

This position is virtual and does not have a set schedule, however the position requires timely response to press inquiries.   Approx. four hours per week per month; must be available for a 30min strategy meeting each week during regular business hours.

Compensation: Tuition Credit towards Spirit Seed courses, clinic, or certification program
