Embodied Expression of the Water Element

Created by student=practitioners in the 22-23 In Our Element Community.

This embodied expression of the water element explores signatures fear, trusting in one's own power, solitude, surrendering, abundance, death and its gift of birth, reverence, ancestral guidance and protection.

-Iyanna Betaudier

My embodied expression is in form of a love letter to Fear, the emotion that I've been intentionally working with in this water season. In December, I made the intention to be more authentic with how I show up in the world. What I didn't realize was that it needed to also include authentic expression of feelings that I was struggling with or unable to accept. This water season brought up a lot of fear around belonging, safety in my body and how I perceive and then internalize rejection as a way to avoid being honest with some real feelings, however they may look and feel. An important way for me to support myself is through gentle and loving movement and prayer. Thank you for watching and seeing me. I appreciate how we collectively move through and support each other in these seasons, and allow ourselves to shine and share our varied expression๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š

Prayer Boards

Prayer Boards are created over the Winter Solstice, at the heart of the Water Element! This beautiful board was created by Jacoda:

This Year my board was inspired by bright moons and stars; wind and love; water and magic. The heart of it is Wind. While studying American indigenous spirituality and reading The Alchemy of Inner Work by Lorie Dechar, I just knew that Wind was going on my prayer board!
